PilotWare's flagship product, PilotWare Digital, has evolved from over a decade of hands-on work with television production clients. The system features a suite of software modules and related hardware that offer a tapeless workflow solution specializing in the management of raw footage. The system can be licensed as a service oriented production package or a perpetual, enterprise platform.

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE
Founder, Pilot Peppler's database designs and theories evolved into a standard formatting principal that he could adapt and modify for any client or situation. Repurposing the core system to hundreds of clients over the years and maintaining consistent and proven design philosophies has given PilotWare a stable and reliable programming infrastructure. The pressure to keep television productions operating around the clock has led to proven, time-tested hardware configurations and deployment procedures.

HISTORY
In 1996, Pilot designed a system for the game show Debt. Soon thereafter, a client asked for a system to track videotapes. These early systems pioneered the use of networked databases in television production and began what is today the core business of PilotWare. With a steady stream of clients and users, the company adopted and began branding the name PilotWare in 1998. After opening an office at Sunset Gower Studios in 2000, Pilot decided to focus all new development efforts on entertainment-industry clients. PilotWare's success in the reality television genre has led Pilot to make media asset management and related technologies his primary development focus.

FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS
PilotWare formed a strategic partnership with Atlas Digital, LLC in 2008, which will fast track new development efforts and dramatically expand the corporate infrastructure. In 2009, a slate of new features and licensing programs will be introduced, satisfying an ever-growing demand for PilotWare from clients around the globe with varying budgets and needs.
