WHAT IS PILOTWARE?
PilotWare is a family of software modules for television and video production. The flagship system is PilotWare Digital, a proven digital asset management platform that combines vault management, logging and stringout bins for a complete pre-editing workflow.

INTRODUCING THE PILOTWARE TRANSCODER
PilotWare has developed an automated, single-pass workflow by indexing media storage devices, such as Unity or San drives, and creating Quicktime proxy files that are transferred to the PilotWare server for sharing via ethernet. The transcoder allows users to access stored content without the need for costly fiber connections to high resolution files.
