HISTORY

Founder, Pilot Peppler developed his first database in 1992, to help an employer manage their mail room operations.  His knack for transforming workflows to a computer screen was immediately evident, as word-of-mouth brought new clients and challenges, inspiring Pilot to venture into the world of self-employment.  His first company was Creative Solutions Group, which operated out of a nook in his kitchen before increased business and a few employees forced expansion to a converted garage.

Living and working in Los Angeles meant that it was only a matter of time before word-of-mouth introduced Pilot's expertise to the television industry.  In 1996, he designed a system for the game show "Debt".  Soon thereafter, a client asked for a system to track video tapes.  These early systems pioneered the use of networked databases in television production and began what is today the core business of PilotWare.  With a steady stream of clients and users, the company changed names to PilotWare Systems, Inc. in 1998.  After opening an office at Sunset Gower Studios in 2000, Pilot decided to focus all new development efforts on entertainment-industry clients.

Today, PilotWare is headquartered high atop the Sunset Strip in an office that lends to creativity, collaboration and future growth.  The company has been cautious to maintain a strong commitment to clients, while testing and charting the untested waters of delivering enterprise software solutions to the television and video production industry.  PilotWare has made tremendous strides in the past few years by
carving a niche and developing a loyal user base.

In May, 2006, PilotWare, Inc. was formed to exclusively handle PilotWare's flagship media asset management products and related services. PilotWare Systems, Inc. remains in tact to handle legacy clients and the traditional game and talk show database systems that served as the company's launchpad.
